netVigilance, Inc. to validate the PCI testing infrastructure.

netVigilance selected as top-tier VA Tool Vendor by PCI

PORTLAND, Oregon -- September 20, 2007- netVigilance, Inc., the Windows-based leader in network Vulnerability Assessment (VA) has been selected to perform a pilot scan of the PCI certification infrastructure.

"During my talks with Didier Godart, manager of the Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) certification program I learned that most ASV's use only a handful of tools. As one of the tool-vendors used by ASVs netVigilance got invited to help evaluate the new PCI ASV testing infra-structure " explains Jesper Jurcenoks of netVigilance and he continues "the infrastructure used for certifying ASVs is completely overhauled every year, to keep the ASV's on their toes. Before the new infrastructure goes online it is evaluated for its reliability, consistency and difficulty by a series of pilot scans that are indented to measure the testing infrastructure against the market."

In 2007 a total of 5 vendors have been invited to perform a pilot scan, placing netVigilance in a very exclusive club.

netVigilance is a PCI Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) since December 2006, and perform quarterly PCI scans for fortune 1000 companies.
