netVigilance, Inc. announces Asset Feature.

Prioritize which vulnerabilities to fix first.

PORTLAND, Oregon -- June 8, 2007- netVigilance, Inc., the Windows-based leader in network Vulnerability Assessment (VA) announced today that its released a new feature for asset prioritization in SecureScout SP with version 1.9.206.0

"For new customers who are just coming online with Vulnerability Assessment the amount vulnerabilities can be overwhelming with the numbers of issues to be addressed running in the 10's of thousands. The new assets prioritization system will provide users with automatic asset values based on the host detected. This means that a Microsoft Exchange server will receive a higher priority than a Windows workstation." Explains Jesper Jurcenoks of netVigilance and he continues "while we initially provide a very useful set of default values; organizations can fully define their own values and define new devices in the system."

The assets priorities are provided in 2 new report types that are available in the 2nd generation aggregate report generator.
