Fact: netVigilance releases signature updates on Fridays with an accuracy of 98% over the last 5 years.
Fact: netVigilance releases on national and public holidays (even Christmas Day) if it falls on a Friday.
All software automatically updated online.
netVigilance Internal Scan - Windows will prompt the user to download updates on its first load. Unless specifically disabled, it will prompt the user to check for updates on every load. Additionally it is possible to manually request a check for updates from the menu.
netVigilance Internal Scan - Enterprise's Upgrade Manager will automatically download updates in the background, beginning on its first load. Updates are only applied during Service Windows - ad-hoc or scheduled by the admin.
Offline Updates
Offline updates are available as Colups (Cumulative OffLine Ugrade Package) for netVigilance Internal Scan - Windows. (instructions here)

Vulnerability Check Updates
netVigilance releases vulnerability checks (test cases) every week Friday between 00:01 and 23:59 Pacific Time (Even during holidays).
Updates contain new test methods, new checks for existing test methods, new and updated Vulnerability descriptions, new and updated CVSS scores, new remediations and updated glosary.
Scanning Engine Updates
netVigilance releases new versions of the Scanning engine with the new vulnerability checks on Friday between 00:01 and 23:59 Pacific Time.
Scanning engine updates include new features, bug fixes and code optimization.

netVigilance Internal Scan - Windows updates
New versions of netVigilance Internal Scan - Windows are included with the weekly vulnerabilty check (test case) updates as needed.
Updates include new Gui features, new reports, and bug fixes.
netVigilance Internal Scan - Enterprise Updates
netVigilance Internal Scan - Enterprise updates are released every 2nd Friday between 00:01 and 23:59 Pacific Time.
Updates include New Features, Report Updates, Bug fixes. New Web-client.
Vulnerability checks (test cases) and engine updates are delivered weekly in a separate upgrade package whose content mirrors those of the netVigilance Internal Scan - Windows updates (see above).
netvigilance Scan - Service Provider Updates
netVigilance Scan - Service Provider updates are released every 2nd Friday between 00:01 and 23:59 Pacific Time.
Updates include New Features, Report Updates, Bug fixes. New Web-client.
Vulnerability checks (test cases) and engine updates are delivered weekly in a separate upgrade package whose content mirrors those of the netVigilance Internal Scan - Windows updates (see above).
netVigilance External and Internal Scan - Cloud
The system is on a dynamic upgrade schedule to ensure that new updates are applied timely and transparently, while ensuring the service’s permanent availability.
Setup and Installers Update Cycle
New Installers (setup) are issued at regular intervals to keep the very first online upgrade manageable or when required to support new operating systems.
