Unlike other file sharing networks like Napster, kaazaa, eDonkey, Torrent etc. that are relatively easy to detect, we find that Winny specifically has been designed to be stealthy and hard to detect. With no default installation directory, no registry key, no fixed port and encrypted traffic, Winny detection is quite a challenge.
