netVigilance, Inc. Receives PCI Re-certification with Honors.

netVigilance breaks Web-application and discovers nest-egg

PORTLAND, Oregon -- January 4, 2008- netVigilance, Inc., the Windows-based leader in network Vulnerability Assessment (VA) has been recertified by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) to perform Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) scans for companies covered by the PCI requirements.

"PCI takes their certification very serious and it is obvious that the bar has been raised since last year" explains Jesper Jurcenoks of netVigilance and he continues: "The Web-vulnerabilities have increased in complexity and are very realistic compared to last year. Luckily our PCI team is very hardcore and all have many years of vulnerability assessment behind them, and we managed to penetrate the web-application and capture creditcard numbers (simulated). While different teams attacked different areas of the infrastructure; I personally performed the hack of the web-server that revealed the credit card numbers"

"I understand from PCI that only one other ASV has been able to retrieve the credit card numbers, and that our overall score was one of the highest ever (PCI does not disclose actual numbers), once again cementing netVigilance's technological leader ship."
