"Hi Jesper, thank you for a solid presentation. I have heard very
strong appoval from the several members of your audience with whom I
have spoken." January 14, 2008 Director Jeffrey Barlow, Berglund Center for Internet Studies at Pacific University
"On May 29th 2007 Jesper "JJ" Jurcenoks of NetVigilance gave the Oregon Computer
Consultants Association (www.occa.org) one of the most informative and animated
presentations in recent memory. Many questions from our membership were raised
and answered. A couple of comments from them will suffice in demonstrating how
well his presentation was received:
"I'm new to the group, and haven't actually signed up yet, but I will soon.
I enjoyed meeting some of the members last night and thought the presentation
was terrific. If you have the same level of quality and enthusiasm each month I
can see that being a member of OCCA is going to offer me a great value!" -- JA
"I want to thank you for a great presentation at the OCCA meeting. It really
brought home how potentially exposed our computers and computer networks are,
and the need for "vigilance"! I would very much like to have a copy of that
product [SecureScout] that you described, especially if it has useful and
informative information on what needs to be done to eliminate vulnerabilities on
my home/office network." -- JC" May 29, 2007 George Shubin, Vice-president, OCCA
"On behalf of TKG [The Kelly Group], I would like to express our thanks for your
services and support on the Tower Records Contract. It has been a pleasure having someone of your caliber and expertise on our team,
and we look forward to doing business again in the near future." March 31, 2006 Lesley Kelley, President, THE KELLEY GROUP INC. California
"SecureScout's Remote Agents makes it possible for us to control all of our
customer's scan jobs from a remote location; there is no longer a need to send
engineers to customer's sites to perform vulnerability assessments. This has
greatly increased our operational efficiency, profitability and quality of
service to our customers. This is only possible with SecureScout." March 20, 2006 Michelle Drolet, CEO, CONQWEST, Inc.
"We are very pleased with the quality of results that we are receiving
with SecureScout. We evaluated several other leading vulnerability
management offerings and SecureScout outperformed the other products by
reporting fewer false-positives and false-negatives while also providing
the best overall reporting. The SecureScout reports were superior in
content, easy to comprehend, and provided accurate, detailed remediation
instructions." November 14, 2005 Jim LaValley, Enterprise Security Architect, CBE FireTower
"We have used other tools for our internet penetration / vulnerability testing
of community banks and healthcare institutions, but have chosen NetVigilance as
the tool of choice. None of the other tools can match NetVigilance accuracy and
thoroughness" March 24, 2005 Craig Sanders, CEO Contineo Technologies
"[SecureScout] NX has a well-designed user interface and several slick features,
such as in-scan vulnerability review and the ability to select scan type by
risk, service, platform, impact CVE and several others.
...we were able to obtain a good result, and [SecureScout] NX stood up well
against its peers at detecting vulnerabilities; in fact, [SecureScout] NX
detected the largest number--65 percent--of vulnerabilities in our test group." June 26, 2003 Kevin Novak, Network Computing
"After reviewing available solutions, our decisions stopped at the [SecureScout]
NX solution. The reasons for this decision were based on the very flexible and
unique architecture that allowed us to tremendously cut our cost down and the
outstanding vulnerability documentation..." May, 2002 Sacha Faust Bourque, Manager
Information Security Services; PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
"When I started looking for something distributed, I was looking for something
very flexible and light so it could be installed on consultants laptop and
something that we could deploy in various environments without problems. I knew
that Nessus was a good product (and we were already using it) but it didn't fit
the criteria. When I saw [SecureScout], I was something interested and the thing
that completely sold me is the fact that in the agent to management console, the
agent is the initiator of the communication. This little thing makes the big
difference and solved most of the problems I had with other products. You can
deploy agents and tell them to connect to the console and they report back to
you and doing so via a outbound connection. If you set it to connect to port 80,
a lot of corporate firewalls will let the traffic pass so you can have agents
inside corporate networks and you have access to them via a secondary network.
The agent is a simple service on the host so it's not very intrusive.
I know a lot of big firms are looking to cut down on their cost or trying to
cope with the fact that a ton of people are getting laid off so distributed
scanners can help in the process so you can centralize the management." November 30, 2001 Sacha Faust Bourque, Manager Information Security Services; PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
"SecureScan NX offers the most comprehensive real-time analysis tools we have seen
on any product of its kind, together with an extensive suite of reports that are well
presented and easy to read." October 5, 2001 The NSS Group Ltd.
"SecureScout NX is a well-crafted piece of software with a simple-to-use, intuitive
user interface, and a wide range of vulnerability signatures backed up by regular
Web-based updates (probably the most frequent updates of all the products we have seen
in the last year)." October 5, 2001 The NSS Group Ltd.
""To our knowledge, the distributed scanning and firewall probing capabilities are unique amongst commercial firewall tools at the time of writing, and these make it an ideal tool for scanning large, distributed corporate networks from a single location, right down to scanning the local subnet for half a dozen hosts." October 5, 2001 The NSS Group Ltd.
"This should be considered an essential part of any security administrator's tool kit - if you want to perform VA scans, you should be looking at SecureScan NX." October 5, 2001 The NSS Group Ltd.
